What a guy!

For my birthday this year, 56th in case anyone is counting, Michael took me to see the Redwoods in California. I have been talking about a trip like that for over a decade.

To say it is awe inspiring doesn’t even begin to tap the emotions you feel standing in a grove of these giants.

The drive was not bad. We left WA at 3:30am on Saturday, arriving at about lunch time. That gave us the half day on Saturday, all day Sunday and then the morning of Monday. We left Crescent City at around 1:00 pm and arrived home by 10pm.

What a perfect birthday.

  1. How lovely! Your picture is amazing. I have always loved the California redwoods. When I was a kid it was one of my favorite trips ever. Some of my family members live up there and have tried to get us to move up to that area. It is gorgeous for sure.

Thank you! If you’ve seen them, then you know the picture hardly does the area justice. If you want to see the rest of them, just click on the photo. It should take you to the collection in FlickR. I grouped it into three sets, one for each day. If not, the url to the collection of photos is:
