Charities I Like to Support
- Hats for the Homeless – Now on their third year, the Knifty Knitters provide hats for the needy in Charlotte. There are over 7000 homeless people in Charlotte, over 3000 of which were children. They accept knitted or crocheted hats year round, all sizes, for men, women and children.
- Project Linus – This national charity provides blankets for sick children and teens in local hospitals. They accept knitted, crocheted, quilted and fleece blankets from preemie sizes to teen sizes.
- The Snuggle Project – The snuggle project assists various animal shelters throughout the country. Accepting knitted, crocheted or quilted mats, they protect little feet from wire cages or cold cement floors and provide some security to rescued scared animals.
